Flyers extend goaltender Dan Vladar, 28, with five-year deal

Goaltender Dan Vladar, who led the Flyers to the Stanley Cup playoffs last season, when they advanced to Round 2 after defeating Pittsburgh, landed a contract extension from Philadelphia Wednesday, agreeing to a five-year deal worth $5.5 million annually.
